From Monday 11th December (morning) to Wednesday 13th December 2006 at 12h Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l'Environnement (LSCE) Following the request of some PhD students, Pascal Yiou and Philippe Naveau are organizing a course with supervised computing tasks about time series processing at LSCE (Orme des Merisiers or Vallée, the place will be determined later).
Courses will comprise basic statistics/probalility theory and presentation of usual and less usual techniques. These courses will be applied directly during the supervised tasks, which should give the students the necessary background to analyse their own data. In particular, the use of "R", "MTM-SSA Toolkit" softwares and other tools will be highlighted.
To help interactions between students and teachers (and other students), the number of participants will be (this time) limited to ten. Interested people have to send an email to Pascal Yiou. Registration will be closed after 10 email replies (based on the reception date, no phone calls, please).
